Product Fit

20ft Split Wall Backlit Booth Right for Your Exhibit?

Designed for a 10×20 exhibit space, this booth uses a projecting center wall to create two connected presentation areas, allowing different products or activities to share one illuminated display without fully enclosing either space.

Choose This Booth When

  • You need to present two product ranges, business areas or campaign messages within the same 10×20 exhibit space.
  • You want the center wall to carry front-facing graphics while providing a visual boundary that guides visitors toward different parts of the booth.
  • Your event plan needs a large open conversation area and a more focused secondary display zone without building a fully enclosed room.

Consider Another Display When

  • Choose the 20ft Backlit Corner Booth when you want one unified presentation area with a reception counter rather than a center wall dividing the internal space.
  • Choose the 20ft U-Shaped Backlit Booth when stronger side framing, a more defined entrance and additional perimeter display surfaces are more important than creating two internal presentation zones.
  • Request a tailored booth recommendation when the secondary area must provide privacy, concealed storage or a dedicated workspace rather than visual separation alone.

What Is a 20ft Modular Backlit Split Wall Booth?

The 20ft Modular Backlit Trade Show Display Kit – Split Wall Booth is designed for a 10ft × 20ft trade show space where an exhibitor needs more than one defined display area.

Instead of using one continuous backwall, the split wall configuration creates separate illuminated sections within the booth. These sections can be used for different products, services, brand messages, or demonstrations while leaving open space for visitor interaction.

The system combines modular frame components, integrated LED lighting, and tension fabric graphics. The frame can be assembled for an event, disassembled afterward, and reused for future exhibitions.

If you are comparing layouts for a 10ft × 20ft space, explore the 10×20 trade show booth configurations to see how different booth structures use the same footprint.

Why Choose a Split Wall Layout?

A 10×20 booth gives you considerably more room than a standard 10×10 space, but more floor area can also create a planning challenge. If every wall carries the same message, the booth may have plenty of display space without having a clear information structure.

A split wall layout gives each section a more specific purpose.

For example, one illuminated wall can introduce the company and its main offering, while another can focus on a product category or service. The remaining open area can then be used for demonstrations, meetings, or conversations with visitors.

This approach is particularly useful for companies that need to present several products or services at the same event without making the booth feel like one large information panel.

How to Organize a Split Wall Trade Show Booth

The most effective split wall layouts usually give each display section a clear role rather than simply dividing the graphics into smaller pieces.

A practical 10×20 booth might include:

Brand Area

Use one of the most visible illuminated sections for the company logo, primary message, and overall brand identity.

Visitors should be able to understand who the exhibitor is before they enter the booth.

Product or Service Area

Use another display section to introduce a specific product line, service, technology, or campaign.

Separating this information from the main brand message gives visitors a more focused area to explore.

Demonstration or Meeting Area

Keep part of the floor space open for product demonstrations, customer discussions, consultations, or lead generation.

The display walls define the booth without requiring the entire floor area to be filled with furniture or fixtures.

This zoning approach makes a larger booth easier to navigate and gives the sales team different areas for different types of visitor interaction.

How Does the Modular Backlit Display System Work?

The booth is built from modular frame sections that form the split wall configuration. LED lighting is integrated into the structure and illuminates the tension fabric graphics from behind.

The fabric graphics use a silicone edge that fits into the frame channel. Once installed, the fabric is tensioned across the frame to create a smooth graphic surface with a clean finished appearance.

Each graphic section can carry its own artwork while the illuminated system maintains a consistent look throughout the booth.

The modular structure can also be assembled and disassembled for transportation and storage. This makes the system suitable for exhibitors that attend multiple events and need a display that can be used repeatedly.

How Should the Graphics Be Designed?

The split wall configuration gives you more graphic surfaces, but adding more information is not necessarily better.

Each section should have a clear communication purpose.

For example:

  • Main brand wall: Company name, logo, and primary message
  • Product wall: Product photography, features, or key benefits
  • Service wall: Services, solutions, or supporting information
  • Campaign wall: Event-specific promotions or marketing content

Keep important information concise enough to be understood from the aisle. Detailed product specifications can be reserved for brochures, product displays, demonstrations, or conversations with your sales team.

It is also important to prepare each graphic according to the correct panel dimensions rather than treating the booth as one large 10×20 graphic.

Before production, review the artwork specifications for the required file setup and graphic dimensions.

What Can You Do With the Open Space?

The split wall structure creates defined visual areas without requiring a fully enclosed booth.

The open floor area can be used according to the objectives of the exhibition.

Product Demonstrations

Place demonstration equipment or samples in an area where visitors can stop without blocking the main visitor path.

Customer Meetings

A small table and seating area can provide space for longer conversations without turning the entire booth into a meeting room.

Lead Generation

A reception counter or staff station can be positioned near the visitor flow to make it easy for attendees to ask questions or leave their information.

Product Displays

Physical products can be displayed between or in front of selected wall sections, allowing the graphics and products to support each other.

The goal is to give every part of the booth a function while keeping enough open space for visitors to move comfortably.

Why Use Backlighting for a Split Wall Booth?

LED backlighting gives each graphic section a consistent illuminated appearance, helping separate display areas remain visually connected as part of one booth.

This is useful when different walls contain different messages. Although the content changes from section to section, the same illuminated treatment creates a consistent visual system.

For a split wall booth, think about the hierarchy of information rather than simply filling every panel.

Your most visible sections should carry the information that matters most:

  1. Company or brand identity
  2. Main product or service
  3. Key value proposition
  4. Supporting information
  5. Event-specific messaging

This makes the booth easier to understand as visitors move through the space.

How Can a 10×20 Split Wall Booth Support Different Products?

One of the strongest use cases for this configuration is presenting multiple products or services within the same exhibition space.

For example, a company with several product categories could assign one wall section to each category. Visitors can then identify the area that is relevant to them without having to read one large graphic containing every product.

The same principle can work for companies targeting different customer groups, presenting different technologies, or launching multiple products at one event.

The split wall structure effectively creates several smaller presentation zones inside one larger booth.

Is a Split Wall Booth Better Than a Single Backwall?

Not necessarily. The right configuration depends on what you need the booth to accomplish.

A single backwall can be effective when the primary objective is straightforward brand presentation with a clear, uninterrupted visual message.

A split wall configuration makes more sense when you need to:

  • Present several product categories
  • Separate different services or solutions
  • Create distinct presentation areas
  • Combine product displays with meeting space
  • Organize information into a clear visual hierarchy

The decision should therefore be based on your content and visitor flow rather than simply choosing the layout with more wall sections.

Can the Modular Booth Be Reused?

The modular construction is intended for repeated use. The frame can be assembled for an exhibition, disassembled after the event, and packed for transportation or storage.

The fabric graphics can also be replaced when your branding or marketing campaign changes. This means the same display structure can continue to support future exhibitions without requiring a completely new booth system each time.

For companies attending multiple trade shows, this can make a modular system more practical than a booth designed for a single event.

What Should You Check Before Ordering?

Before ordering a 20ft split wall booth, confirm the requirements of the specific exhibition venue.

Check:

  • Your assigned booth footprint
  • Which sides of the booth are open
  • Maximum display height
  • Electrical requirements
  • Venue access and loading restrictions
  • Setup and dismantling schedules
  • Shipping deadlines
  • Graphic submission deadlines

A 10×20 booth describes the available floor space, not the complete dimensions of every component. Frame sections, feet, counters, and accessories may affect how the display fits within the assigned space.

Review the event organizer's floor plan and display regulations before finalizing your booth configuration.
